I have always worn the Miraculous Medal. it was a tradition inspired by my Mother's devotion. I gave her a gold one many years ago, and it came back to me after her death. I cherish it and wear it mainly when I go out. But I find it a little too formal and fragile to wear all the time. I saw this "profile" variation and fell in love with it. The updated depiction of Our Lady is gorgeous and I wanted something a little more durable to wear while at home. This was perfect. It is quite large; well-made and quite stunning. The claspless stainless steel chain is substantial and strong; long enough to slip over my head. It reminds me of the one(s) I wore as a kid. And now, being retired, I again can wear it doing anything. This particular size is very masculine and quite heavy. I highly recommend it if that is what you are looking for.
